Foster Family Services

Traditional/Agency Foster Care

This service level of the Integrated Continuum provides traditional or agency-based foster care through foster parents who are trained by Boys Town. These foster parents (who are not Boys Town employees) provide care in their own homes for children of all ages – infants through adolescents – who need a safe place to live. Usually, these children do not require the intensive treatment provided in Treatment Foster Care. Foster parents receive 24-hour support from Boys Town professionals.

Host Home

The Host Home program provides short-term, safe and nurturing shelter to runaway and homeless youth in a family setting. Host families are trained by Boys Town Louisiana, and the program offers crisis intervention, case management, counseling, and the food and clothing.
