Our Professional Staff


Dr. Robert J. Wingfield, Chief Psychologist of the Boys Town Washington DC Behavioral Health Clinic, is a licensed psychologist specializing in individual, group, and family therapy for individuals from infancy to 22 years of age. Dr. Wingfield provides parent training, psychological testing, extensive behavioral​ assessments, and community training and education on behavioral health issues. Dr. Wingfield ​collaborates with pediatricians, teachers, and other adult caregivers to ensure a continuity of service and care.

Dr. Wingfield earned his B.A. in Psychology from McDaniel College, followed by his M.A. in School Psychology from Towson University. He then earned his Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Florida with a specialization in behavioral pediatrics. Dr. Wingfield completed pre-doctoral training at the Boys Town Center for Behavioral Health in Boys Town, Nebraska. He then completed specialized training in behavioral psychology as a postdoctoral fellow at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, Maryland.
