Knox Honored as 2014 Outstanding Fundraising Professional

Terry Knox was honored as the 2014 Outstanding Fundraising Professional.

Terry Knox, Boys Town Central Florida Development Director, was honored as the 2014 Outstanding Fundraising Professional by the Association of Fundraising Professional Central Florida Chapter (AFP).

Knox received his award during the 29th Annual National Philanthropy Day Awards ceremony at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes at the end of 2014. National Philanthropy Day acknowledges the entire spectrum of services that the non-profit and civic and service sectors provide, as well as the profound impact that philanthropy has on the fabric of society.

As a member of the AFP for more than 20 years, Knox also has been awarded Partner of the Year by the University of Central Florida’s (UCF) collegiate chapter of the AFP. He also serves as the UCF chapter liaison and established the chapter’s mentoring program.

“Terry Knox is well deserving of this honor. He is well respected in our community and serves as a mentor to many in building relationships, cultivating, and securing support for one’s organization,” said Greg Zbylut, Boys Town Central Florida Executive Director. “But truly, Terry’s energy, compassion, and ethics are what make him a fantastic fundraiser and colleague.”
