Gallant Receives Outstanding Award from Alma Mater Thursday, May 15, 2014 Page Image Page ContentCongratulations to Dr. Jason Gallant, Chief Psychologist at Boys Town Central Florida’s Behavioral Health Clinic (BHC). Dr. Gallant is the recipient of the University of Florida’s (UF) College of Education’s 2014 Outstanding Young Alumnus Leadership Award. It is given to recognize alumni who are 35 years of age or younger and have distinguished themselves in their profession and community. Dr. Gallant quadrupled the number of monthly clients seen by Boys Town Central Florida’s BHC between January 2013 and March 2014. After receiving his B.S. degree from Florida State University and his Ph.D. in School Psychology from UF, Gallant made the move to the Boys Town Center for Behavioral Health in Omaha, Nebraska, where he completed his pre-doctoral and post-doctoral fellowships in behavioral pediatrics under the guidance of Dr. Patrick Friman, Vice President of Outpatient Behavioral Health Services. Dr. Gallant was then named Chief Psychologist at Boys Town Central Florida’s brand new BHC, where he saw his first client in October of 2012. Since its inception, the clinic has seen remarkable success and a growing client base. “We are very proud of Dr. Gallant’s recognition by the University of Florida and are sure this is the first of many yet to come,” said Greg Zbylut, Boys Town Central Florida Executive Director. “Dr. Gallant made an immediate impact on our site and community last year. It’s been exciting to see the demand for his services grow and his reputation flourish as word gets out on the successes his families have enjoyed.” Dr. Gallant recognized with gratitude the support of his colleagues, saying, “At its core, I deeply feel that this award is a testament of being surrounded and supported by excellent individuals and being pushed by those who believed in me. There are no words to express my gratitude. I also owe the most sincere thank you to Greg Zbylut and the Boys Town Central Florida team for believing in and supporting our Behavioral Health Clinic.” To schedule an appointment with Dr. Gallant, please call 407-588-2170.
