Illinois Governor Quinn Honored with Father Flanagan Spirit Award
The Chicago Irish Brotherhood led by Boys Town of Chicago Board Member, Tim Egan, invited supporters to O’Brien’s Restaurant July 17 to honor Governor Pat Quinn for the positive work he is accomplishing with Illinois youth and families.
Nearly 35 people showed up at the event benefiting Boys Town of Chicago to see Governor Quinn honored as the Chicago Irish Brotherhood’s 2010 Father Flanagan Spirit Award winner. Governor Quinn has made issues concerning Boys Town of Chicago youth some of his top priorities, including immigration and poverty.
“We are very thankful to Governor Quinn for the work he’s done to improve the future of Chicago’s youth,” said Michelle Conradt, Boys Town of Chicago Development Director. “His efforts and the continued support of the Chicago Irish Brotherhood for the kids and families Boys Town of Chicago serves is fantastic.”
