Data Shows Boys Town South Florida Services Provide Lasting Results

The data doesn’t lie – and this data is outstanding.

Boys Town South Florida recently received “re-abuse data” from the last fiscal year, which revealed that of the 94 families they served through In-Home Family Services (IHFS), not one of them reoffended – making their rate of re-abuse, zero.

That’s why, every year, we seek those who want to make a real difference in the quality of life for people who are often forgotten: youth, the homeless and the hungry.

"Birdies for Children” Fundraiser Flies to Success

"We are so proud of Kahli and the tremendous progress she has made," said Amy Simpson, Executive Director of Boys Town Florida - South Region.

Boys Town South Florida Families Filled with Hope

Each year, Boys Town South Florida brings healing and hope to parents who would not otherwise have means of purchasing holiday presents for their children. In its 20th year, Hope for the Holidays has provided gift sponsors for 838 youth, this year alone. 

"I had to think about which bill I could pay, the electricity or buying presents for my children. I had to choose the electric bill,” said one Boys Town South Florida parent. Hope for the Holidays allows families in these situations to have both.  

Grant Gives South Florida Funds for In-Home Family Services

Boys Town South Florida was grateful to have recently received a grant from The Jim Moran Foundation totaling $104,487 for In-Home Family Services. With additional funding from the Children’s Services Council and in-kind support from Boys Town, the program will provide at-risk youth and families in northern Broward County with critical intervention and family strengthening services.

Boys Town South Florida Celebrates 20 Years with Annual Gala

Boys Town South Florida's greatest supporters gathered at the “Crystals of Hope” Gala October 15 to celebrate 20 years of bringing healing and hope to the community. The event raised much needed support to continue extending the mission to provide and promote an Integrated Continuum of Care to even more troubled children and hurting families in need.   

Mom’s Redemption Reunites Family

Michelle Martinez is living proof that it’s never too late to find redemption.

She grew up surrounded by violence and crime. She was addicted to crack. She served prison time.  She was diagnosed with mental health issues. She had her children taken away. 

But at age 31, after the birth of her youngest daughter Dulce~Yana, Michelle made a decision to start over. She wanted to reclaim her life and everything she had lost because of her mistakes of the past.
