Kyle’s Story

Kyle is one of a large number of former Boys Town youth who have distinguished themselves through military service to their country. Many Boys Town boys and girls enter the military upon graduation because it provides the structure and discipline they still need in their lives once they leave Boys Town.

"I was 14 when I went to Boys Town. I didn't have any respect for authority or leadership skills. I didn't even know what taking initiative was or how important it was to your success. Boys Town showed me that and taught me how to use these tools in my life. I am a sergeant in the Marine Corps, and without the help of Boys Town, I would not be able to lead my Marines in the same fashion as I do now."
