Step-On Guide Service

Our experienced tour guides will keep the members of your travel group informed and entertained. Friendly and knowledgeable, they offer an insider’s perspective on life in the Village, and they have plenty of stories to share about the special moments and famous faces that make up Boys Town’s illustrious past.

Standard Tours

Your tour will begin at the Visitors Center, where a step-on guide will greet you. From here, you will start a driving tour through the Village and see where our children live, play, work and pray.

Your first stop will be at the Hall of History. Dowd Chapel and the Father Flanagan Shrine, Chambers Chapel, the Garden of the Bible, the historic Father Flanagan House, the 22-bed Rose Garden, the Visitors Center Gift Shop and see the World’s Largest Ball of Stamps in our Stamp Center. Our café is also located inside the Visitors Center. Depending on the time of day, your group can enjoy a hearty breakfast or relax with a delightful lunch.

Guided tours typically last one and-a-half to two hours. Tours of the Village are free, but donations are appreciated. We suggest $1 per person.

Custom Tours

Regardless of how much time your tour group has to spend, our staff will create a tour package that will maximize every minute.

Customized tours can involve everything from having a picnic lunch on the Village grounds to attending religious services at one of our chapels. If your group visits on the weekend, our café can be open to serve you lunch. Our gift shop also can have extended hours to accommodate your schedule.
