Q. HOW CAN I SUPPORT THE CHILDREN? WHAT WILL MY MONEY BE USED FOR? (top)
A. Call donor services (1-800-217-3700) to give a financial contribution. Every dollar you send will be spent, within 12 months, on the direct care of our girls and boys, furthering their chances at success.
Q. IF EVERY DOLLAR RECEIVED IN THE MAIL GOES TO THE DIRECT CARE AND TREATMENT OF CHILDREN, HOW THEN ARE DEVELOPMENT AND STAFF SALARIES PAID? (top)
A. The Father Flanagan Fund for Needy Children pays for all costs in solicitation incurred by the development department, which helps raise the funds that allow Boys Town to help more children every year.
Q. ARE YOUR MAILINGS DONE BY A BIG FUND-RAISING COMPANY? (top)
No. Boys Town does not use an outside company to do its donor mailings. The letters donors receive are written at and mailed from Boys Town, Neb. We buy the paper, print the letters, fold, insert and mail them in the Village of Boys Town, using our own employees. This guarantees that we get the lowest cost and highest quality for our donors.
Q. OUR FAMILY LIKES TO SEND CONTRIBUTIONS TO Boys Town AT CHRISTMAS AND EASTER. COULD YOU SAVE SOME MONEY BY NOT SENDING US MAIL AT OTHER TIMES? (top)
A. Many people let Boys Town know how many mailings they would like. You need only drop us a note with your instructions. Our mail department does its very best to comply with all requests from donors. Even if you cannot send a gift for every mailing, we are glad to have you read the stories of our children and receive our stamps and prayer cards. We believe it is important for our donors to know what is happening at Boys Town and our regular mailings are a very cost efficient way to keep in touch. To request our mailings or be removed from our database, please call us at (800) 217-3700.
Q. I WANT TO SEND A GIFT, BUT I DO NOT WANT TO GET THINGS IN THE MAIL I FEEL I MUST PAY FOR. AM I OBLIGATED TO BUY THE SEALS, CARDS OR OTHER ITEMS IN YOUR MAILINGS? (top)
A. Boys Town does not send donors anything they should feel obligated to buy. Our letters may contain a sheet of seals or a prayer card, but these are free. Our actual cost for a sheet of seals is about one penny.
Q. IS THERE ANOTHER TYPE OF GIFT OTHER THAN CASH CONTRIBUTIONS THAT I CAN PURSUE TO HELP BOYS TOWN? (top)
