Toshiba Golf Tournament Benefits California Youth
11/16/07 - Golfers teed off for a good cause at the Toshiba Business Solutions 3rd Annual Golf Tournament to benefit Boys Town of California youth Nov. 10.
The tournament was held at the Tustin Ranch Golf Course, where 144 golfers competed in golf contests such as closest to the pin, hole-in-one and longest drive. Toshiba Business Solutions sponsored the event, which raised vital resources for Boys Town of California youth.
“I’m astonished at the tremendous outpouring of support from Toshiba Business Solutions of California and Nevada,” said Keith Rhodes, Boys Town of California Executive Director. “Toshiba has recognized the importance of providing a safe and secure environment for severely abused children in our community.”
A raffle provided participants with the chance to win prizes such as portable DVD players, a laptop computer and a 42-inch plasma television. A new Honda Accord was offered as a grand prize for the hole-in-one competition.
The Korean consulate and many members of the Korean business community attended the tournament, which was intended to build relationships between the Korean community and Boys Town of California. Guests were touched by the services that Boys Town of California provide for severely at-risk youth and are now seeking ways to support the organization.
The tournament was organized by In Kim, Boys Town of California Board Member; Teresa Dinh, Boys Town of California Associate Development Director; and Edson Park, Toshiba Sales Director.
“I would personally like to thank Mr. In Kim, a member of our Board of Trustees, for his tireless dedication to defend those who cannot defend themselves,” said Rhodes.
