Join Us for a Very Special Holiday Celebration with the Children
11/19/07 - Our annual holiday celebration at the Trabuco Canyon Campus on Dec. 8 will be an exceptional event this year including the dedication of our second Tilly's Baby Home, recognition of firefighters from seven counties, and commemoration of Boys Town's 90th anniversary.
Through the continuing generosity of SoCal-based retail apparel chain Tilly's, we are taking a significant step with the establishment of a second Tilly's Baby Home at the Trabuco Canyon campus. The Baby Home program provides a unique service for very young siblings up to age 6 whose families are facing a crisis. It enables us to spare these very vulnerable children the added trauma of separation during an already stressful situation.
We will also be recognizing and expressing our heartfelt appreciation for the brave firefighters from seven counties who risked their lives to protect the people of California. Their incredible work in the face of danger helped preserve not only possessions, but the hopes and dreams, of the family-teachers and children at the Trabuco Canyon campus when the Santiago fire threatened the area.
The day will also include commemorating the 90th anniversary of Boys Town and the ongoing realization of Father Flanagan's dream for changing the way America cares for her children and families.
Please come and share this very important day with our special guest, U.S. Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez, and the children of Boys Town of California.
