Boys Town Texas Hosts Fall Festival
Boys Town Texas children experienced the splendor of autumn during a Fall Festival Oct. 28.
More than 150 people took part in the numerous carnival activities, including pumpkin painting, a costume contest, and a performance by the Texas Hermann Sons Polkateers. Kids say the most exciting event was climbing aboard the hay bales for an authentic hayrack ride.
“Family events that are wholesome fun and family style are not what our kids have been exposed to in the past,” said Wade Rascoe, Boys Town Texas Executive Director. “Anytime we can introduce them into a family environment, we jump on that opportunity.”
The Fall Festival was sponsored by the Alamo Heights Rotary Club. In addition to their generosity, an overwhelming number of volunteers from other groups also helped with the success of the event.
