Boys Town New York Honors Classic Name With New Brand
Boys Town New York 90th Anniversary Celebration Dec. 12 relied on an old classic to help communicate an important message.
The organization announced its new tagline, “Boys Town, Saving Children, Healing Families” prior to a screening of the Oscar-winning movie “Boys Town” to youth, and later to donors and board members, to demonstrate its ongoing commitment to Father Flanagan’s dream of helping America’s children.
“This movie represents the rich history behind this organization,” said Anthony DiLauro, Boys Town New York Executive Director. “The 90th anniversary was the perfect time to renew the brand and have a name that recognizes the many services we offer to children and families.”
Boys Town New York youth also celebrated the anniversary with birthday cake at school and enthusiasm when seeing the revitalized brand. One youth commented that she thought the new image was great because “it’s going to help more kids earlier.”
An intimate reception was also held for donors and board members at Tribeca Cinema. The crowd responded with enthusiastic applause when DiLauro raised the curtain to reveal the new brand. “This image represents Boys Town New York’s ongoing mission to help youth in the future,” said DiLauro.
