Boys Town New York Golf Classic Raises Funds for Children and Programs

The first annual Boys Town New York Golf Classic was in full swing June 16, raising more than $70,000 to support programs that benefit its children and families. Boys Town New York staff, sponsors and volunteers gathered at the North Jersey Country Club to enjoy a day of golf, contests, prizes, raffles and a dinner.

“It's fun events like this that bring our supporters closer to the organization and to understanding how we help children, especially when they get to see just how phenomenal our kids are,” said Anthony DiLauro, Boys Town New York Executive Director.

The Commerce Bank group won the tournament, followed by Creative Construction and Al Lee Installations. Title sponsor, MG Engineering, P.C. Committee Chair, Michael Marino and many more sponsors donated time and money to help with the event.

Anthony DiLauro, Boys Town New York Executive Director, Bill Scanlon, Golf Committee Member and two Boys Town youth work together to make the New York Golf Classic a success.

“We were so proud of the support we received from our board members and especially our golf committee members who made the event a huge success,” said DiLauro. “All proceeds from the event will benefit Boys Town New York, allowing us to expand our programs to help more children and families.”
