Congressman Kennedy Visits Boys Town New England
U.S. Congressman Patrick Kennedy and his long-time friend Frank DiPaolo shared some laughs with the youth from Boys Town New England’s Bazarsky Campus March 27.
Youth from two of the Treatment Family Homes, along with their Family-Teachers, hosted a dinner for the Congressman and “Buddy Frank.” Rep. Kennedy shared stories with the kids of when he was younger, while 101-year-old Buddy Frank captivated the children with his stories of how he and the Congressman first met and became life-long friends.
Julie, a resident of Boys Town said the Congressman "was very kind and had plenty of good stories to tell.” The other residents agreed. “I enjoyed having Mr. Kennedy over,” said 15-year-old Natacha. “He talked about the importance of staying in school.”
"The kids didn't want them to leave," said Jeremiah Sibley, Boys Town New England Family-Teacher. "I was really appreciative of the time Rep. Kennedy took to talk to each youth in the home. It was wonderful to have them ask him questions and see him respond to them."
