Boys Town Louisiana Shares a “Father Flanagan Evening”
The Boys Town Louisiana community welcomed the organization’s 90th birthday the same way they’ve welcomed many milestones together.
Youth and staff joined one another for a traditional New Orleans-style potluck meal at the Frenchmen shelter to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of Father Flanagan’s dream. While everyone enjoyed the meal and conversation, all eyes focused on a special message from Father Boes. As Father Boes unveiled the revitalized Boys Town brand and image, a banner dropped revealing the new name, “Boys Town, Saving Children, Healing Families.”
“People like the new image and thought it was great going back to Boys Town,” said Dr. Dennis Dillon, Boys Town Louisiana Executive Director. “Everyone was really excited.”
Upbeat about the new image and this next milestone, people celebrated with a piece of cake and t-shirts displaying the new look. Dillon described the positive and upbeat atmosphere to the updated brand as a true “Father Flanagan evening.”
“When you talk about revitalization, particularly in Louisiana, we are revitalizing the population of people that have been displaced for two years now,” said Dillon. “Boys Town Louisiana is working towards the revitalization of families and reenergizing and recommitting to ideas that may not have been seen in the same perspective then as they are now. Community and children are our top priorities.”
