Golfers Tee Off to Help Florida’s Children
More than a hundred golfers teed off April 18, 2008, to help Florida’s struggling children and families, during the 8th annual Holland Pools Charity Golf Tournament, the Demetree Classic.
The event at Timicuan Golf and Country in Lake Mary Florida was a great success. “It was so inspiring to see all the people and companies who have a heart for helping children,” said Greg Zbylut, Boys Town Central Florida Executive Director. “We are grateful for their support, and the support shown by Holland Pools for sponsoring this tournament year after year.”
Besides 18 holes of competitive golf, golfers were treated to lunch provided by Firehouse Subs, a hot Texas buffet and silent auction, which included trips for two to the 2009 Master’s Final Round in Augusta, Cancun, New York, or anywhere they wanted to fly, as well as tickets to Universal Studios and SeaWorld.
