Jingle Bells 5K Run and Elves Walk

With nearly 300 participants, including staff and residents from Boys Town, the first Jingle Bell 5K Run and Elves Walk was a jing-a-linging success! Sponsored by Oviedo-Winter Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce, City of Winter Springs and Legacy of Leadership, the event proceeds were donated to Boys Town. 

“The last month of the year is when we reach our budgetary goals with the generosity of the community,” said Terry Knox, Boys Town Florida,Central Region, Development Director.  It is the last hump in the year, the last hoorah for people to give back and share with those who are less fortunate than themselves.  What a fun way to accomplish that goal.” 

Plans are already in place for next years’ event with the anticipation of much greater participation.
