Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig visited Boys Town several times.  Ruth, being an orphan, was a staunch supporter of the home.  Gehrig’s widow donated a bust of her husband to the Home, and it is now on display at the Boys Town Hall of History.

Famous Faces at Boys Town

Hundreds of athletes, entertainers and politicians have seemed to find their way to Boys Town throughout its 90-year history.

Two of the most famous athletes of the 20th century – Babe Ruth and Michael Jordan – each visited the famed Village of Boys Town.  Presidents, First Ladies, prominent politicians and Hollywood Stars have also appeared.

As Boys Town sites emerged across the country, many celebrities came to show their support for the way the organization works to Change the Way America Cares for her Children and their Families, and to help instill hope in our children.

In this Hall of History online exhibit, you can see just some of the many famous faces seen at Boys Town over the years.
