Corporate Governance
The Board of Trustees is committed to assuring that our programs are the very best -- that they meet the highest standards of care and treatment, assuring safety, permanency and well-being for all the youth and families we serve.
As Trustees, we support the Boys Town mission through a process of Corporate Governance which emphasizes fiduciary responsibility, transparency and accountability.
We are responsible for governance, not operations.
We establish policy, conduct ongoing oversight and make decisions to ensure that Boys Town meets its long- and short-term goals so that the needs and expectations of our stakeholders -- first and foremost, the children and families in our care -- are fully satisfied.
We hire and annually evaluate the National Executive Director, and authorize the National Executive Director to hire and evaluate key operating staff.
In our experience, great governance is a result of great orchestration -- the joint product of motivated and enlightened individuals brought together to apply their knowledge and experience to the major opportunities and challenges facing Boys Town.
What an exciting and marvelous privilege to play a role in helping America's troubled children and families.
We encourage you to review our Corporate Governance Guidelines and the other materials on this site. Below are links to guidelines to each of the Board's functional committees.Thank you for your interest in Boys Town and the troubled children and families we serve across this great nation.
Sincerely,
Rajive Johri, Chair
