Faith

Help lost children find faith and their God-given potential.

For nearly a century, Boys Town has continued Father Edward Flanagan's mission of saving children and healing families through the power of family and faith.

Father Flanagan's dream to help save lost children of all faiths was a testament to his love for God and his fellow human beings. That spirit still flourishes as Boys Town continues his mission of saving children and healing families.

Boys Town Executive Director Father Steven E. Boes continues Father Flanagan's message of achievement through faith:

"Faith is the foundation that gives us hope. It replenishes the spirit and gives rise to new beginnings. With the help of God's love, you can find a new direction for your life. Listen carefully to God in prayer and to those around you who love you."

A visit to our home campus reflects the importance of faith in our mission. We have two churches — Dowd Chapel for our Catholic youth, and Chambers Chapel for our Protestant residents. Children who profess other faiths are taken to their places of worship in the community.

Boys Town has always tried to instill in its children the central position God must hold in their lives if they are to recover from their emotional wounds and find peace. When our children take that message to heart, they grow in their faith during their time at Boys Town and maintain a strong spiritual life long after they leave.
